Celebrate Mardi Gras at the InterContinental New Orleans With Great Views of Carnival Season's Favorite Krewes From the Premiere Hospitality Stands on St. Charles Ave. Endymion and Mardi Gras Day Buffets featuring Seasonal Favorites

New Orleans, LA - The InterContinental New Orleans is offering great views of Carnival season's favorite Krewes from the hotel's premiere hospitality stands located on St. Charles Avenue. The hotel is also hosting its annual Mardi Gras buffets, the Endymion buffet, and Mardi Gras buffet.

The InterContinental is home to Rex, King of Carnival, and the hotel's hospitality stands will serve as the site of Rex's toast to his Queen on Mardi Gras day, as well as the toasts of several other Krewes during Carnival season.

According to Martin Driskell, General Manager of the InterContinental New Orleans, throughout the month of February the hotel will host locals and visitors alike in the expanded hospitality stands, where guests have the best seats in town to watch Mardi Gras' biggest and best parades roll past.

Mardi Gras Buffets
The hotel offers buffets, prepared by Executive Chef Klaus Happel, on the evening of the Endymion parade, Saturday February 13th from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m., as well as on Mardi Gras Day, February 16th from 8 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Endymion Buffet
The buffet will feature traditional New Orleans fare such as chicken and andouille gumbo, Gulf fish in Etoufee sauce, grilled Flat Iron steaks, Creole style jambalaya, salad and seafood selection and an assortment of desserts including traditional King Cake. Click here to view full menu.

Buffet ticket prices begin at $55.00 for adults and $25.00 for children (ages 4-12), and complimentary for children under 4. Endymion Buffet tickets can be purchased online here.

Mardi Gras Buffet
The buffet will feature breakfast items including an omelet station, sausage and grilled ham, creamy southern grits with cheese, fresh fruit and juices, as well as lunch items later in the day including a salad station, Oyster Shooters with cocktail and remoulade sauce, roasted Prime Rib and a variety of desserts. Hospitality Stands
Tickets for the hotel's hospitality viewing stands will be available during parades scheduled for the first weekend of Carnival, Friday February 5th to Sunday February 7th, and the final week of Carnival from Thursday, February 11th to Tuesday, February 16th - Mardi Gras Day.

The hospitality stands are located directly on the parade route in front of the hotel at 444 St. Charles Ave. The stands are general admission, raised tier platforms with standing room only.
